| The City of Shenandoah maintains a beautiful six lane, 25 meter competition pool ranging from three to five feet in depth. The pool also has an 11-foot diving well with a one meter diving board and a slide. The City also has a baby pool, which is equipped with a UVA screen cover for protection from the sun. The City Pool has a covered pavilion and gazebo to provide shaded areas for our patrons. The pavilion can be used for birthday parties and get togethers. Anyone interested in making reservations or arrangements for use of these facilities for parties should contact the Pool Director Mary Pat Case at (936) 448-2492. The pool opens the second weekend in May and stays open only on the weekends until school is out. During Summer vacation, the pool is open Tuesday through Sunday, closed on Monday unless Monday falls on a holiday. In that case the pool will open for the holiday but close on Tuesday. Pool hours are 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday while school is still in session. Once school is out, we return to our regular schedule which is 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
